Kellie Martin is an American actress in television, film as well as stage actor. Her most well-known parts include Christy Huddleston (Christy) on the drama of the same name Christy", Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) in Life Goes On; and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Also, she is known for playing the title role in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Martin's acting career started when she was just seven when her aunt, an ex-nanny who looked after her children Michael Landon, helped secure a spot as a special guest in 1982's 'Father Murphy.' She began acting professionally following her graduation from Yale University. This led to her being offered major roles both in the television and film industries. Martin, besides being an actor, is also a talented photographer and dancer. As a mother to two children, she has become the official spokesperson of national for Lupus. Martin has been spreading the word about this disease ever since her sister's death from the illness at age 19.
